Byrne Ó Cléirigh partnered with ERM and the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) to develop a strategy for the Irish Government on the limitation and reduction of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases (GHGs). Our report entitled Limitation and Reduction of Carbon Dioxide and other Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Ireland was a key input for the development of Ireland's first National Climate Change Strategy.
Byrne Ó Cléirigh's role was focussed on identifying major emission sources and on identifying and examining measures that could be implemented in the industrial, commercial and residential sectors.
